Just a quick post to say check out the new Pietermaritzburg Events website.
Its a free online event calendar for the greater Pietermaritzburg area that lets you create or view up coming events. The I built the calendar and site menu on jQuery JavaScript Library
The website was commissioned by the Pietermaritzburg Chamber of Business with the aim of providing a tool for city residents to view event listings in a single, central location.
As part of the SEO, I'm placing links in my blogs and Twitter
UPDATE:
Within 1 week of launching the events site, it was appearing in the first page of Google results for the search phrase “Pietermaritzburg events”, it’s just a matter of time until we snag that golden first result.
